        In 1954, when commercial fishermen Sam Kleva & Pete Buterick were returning from sea at the end of fishing season they started bulkheading work to maintain a year round income. The company then began as Kleva & Buterick. After Sam passed away in the 60´s, Pete continued the business until the late 70´s when Paul Buterick then took over. Today the 3rd generation is at the helm, and together we continue to bring the quality and innovation that has made Buterick Bulkheading the #1 Marine Contractor on the Jersey Shore for more than 50 years.
